Woodpecker Point Family Cabin (King/Sofabed/Twin x 4)

Buffalo Rock was a peaceful very classic black hills "log cabin in the hills" vacation. My family loved it! The little kids had a great time♡ something for everyone for sure. Beautiful starry nights and the scent of the pines never gets old♡ The location is perfect♡ Beautiful outdoor picnic/ fireplace/ playground area was an added treat!

It was a great place to stay! Marilyn took us to our cabin personally. She had driving instruction to all the attractions. Which was very helpful. The cabin and bathroom were very spacious and clean. It was a little out of the way. But, if you like a little privacy. This is the place for you.

Tatanka Ridge Cabin (King/Twin/Twin)

Marilyn’s place was perfect for us. We were going to the buffalo roundup in Custer State Park and this was quite close. The cabin was just as described, was clean and appropriately stocked, and wonderfully peaceful. There was a separate building with a bathroom for each cabin and it was very clean. Marilyn was so helpful and gave us the local lay of the land with directions to the roundup. The wild turkeys and deer in the courtyard were a perfect bonus as we sat on the porch drinking coffee. Highly recommend!

wonderful host, she was extremely nice and gave lots of recommendations of things to do in the area. there was a lot of bugs but thats expected in the woods, and they do offer removal aswell. bathrooms were very clean and festive. I really enjoyed the privacy, woods, and homey feel

Loved staying in this cabin - Marilyn was super communicative and helpful, even though my sister and I checked in after dark. She personally greeted us and showed us our cabin, which was much appreciated after a long day of travel. The space itself was quiet and private - loved that there was a water cooler in the unit and a coffee pot so we could enjoy a quick breakfast before heading into town and off to hikes. The bathroom and shower, while separate from the sleeping area, was modern and super clean. Would stay here again and recommend it to others.

Beautiful and quiet spot. Comfortable and clean beds. The walk to the bathroom was inconvenient and the towels were musty. Wonderful stay all around though.

Dakota Sunrise Cabin (King/Full/Twin)

Marilyn’s place is a great place for a get away. It’s very peaceful. It was about 25 minutes away from activities we knew that going in. The drive to Keystone is very hilly and has a lot of curves but we knew that too. The trip was a great experience. Thank you Marilyn.

Marilyn was an amazing host. The cabins have their own private bathrooms in the bathhouse that were always squeaky clean. She was super sweet and gave us recommendations on things to do in the area. Would stay again!

My family enjoyed staying in this little clamping cabin! It was as described. Bathrooms with showers were a short little walk up the hill and were well stocked and easy to find. I really enjoyed the back porch area. My husband and I sat outside in the evening after the kids went to sleep. It was very peaceful.

Trail’s End Cabin (King/Twin)

This place was a Gem. Not too often fo you get your own private bathroom in a cabin space such as this. Marilyn also provided a free grill, fireplace, play area, utensils, plates, bowls, etc. It was perfect and peaceful. It was also situated in a great location to get to Keystone, badlands, mount Rushmore, custer, needles highway, and iron mountain road. We will be back! We highly recommend!

This was the best vacation we have ever been on! The cabin was perfect and we almost preferred to stay at the cabin than doing the touristy things. Everyone was very nice and accommodating! 10/10 recommend! We will be making this a yearly trip!

Great place to stay. Peaceful and relaxing. Close to attractions and restaurants. Had a great time in the evenings talking with other guests around the campfire. Marilyn and her camp hosts were very helpful. Will definitely stay there again when we go back to South Dakota.
