Dakota Sunrise Cabin (King/Full/Twin)

We loved everything about our stay. We stayed in cabin #1 with two teenage boys, my husband and I. It was perfect. The boys had their own space and a spacious king size bed also. Cooked breakfast in the mornings we were there and went site seeing the rest of the day. Perfect location to multiple spots with a beautified drive in between. Loved sitting on the porch in the morning and evenings watching deer and turkeys. Perfect beginning and ending to each day we were there!

Our stay was wonderful! The host's recommended route from the cabin to Custer was one of the highlights of our trip. The location was incredible and the cabin was so cozy and well maintained. We would definitely stay again.

Woodpecker Point Family Cabin (King/Sofabed/Twin x 4)

It was perfect for our family of 5. Marilyn greeted us and accommodated a later check in from us. She was so kind and the place was so well taken care of!! My kids loved the playground after visiting Mount Rushmore.

Dakota Sunrise Cabin (King/Full/Twin)

Super responsive host. I love that they went to the effort to think of little things, like handouts to show local points of interest. Very convenient at Mount Rushmore, and the 9 PM illumination ceremony. It was a family, friendly location.

Marilyn was a great host. She personally checked us in, walked us to our cabin, and shower house room. The setup is great for a small family. The location is great within the Black Hills and easy access to all the sights, while being away from the tourist attractions.

Wonderful little cabins and common area with all the necessities and more inside and out. Bit of a trek up to bath house but worth it with beautiful bathrooms assigned to each cabin. Sink water was very warm but shower water did not warm up quite enough with on demand system even after running the water during entire shower otherwise no other negatives during stay whatsoever. Would definitely recommend and return in future. May not be a good place for older persons or those unable to walk up hill to use bathroom facilities.

FABULOUS. From the moment that we arrived, we were warmly greeted by Marilyn at the main lodge. She gave us a wonderful tour of the grounds and gave us so much local information that we threw out our previous plans and did everything she recommended the next day and had the most beautiful time. This cabin was SO clean and comfortable. The morning sunrise off the back balcony was FANTASTIC. We will definitely be coming back!

We loved the cabin! So quiet and peaceful! Comfy bed with exquisite sheets! Loved the back porch We brought our cat and it was screened in so we didn’t have to worry about him running away. Saw a beautiful baby deer Host Marilyn let us in early too So kind and understanding. Top notch place!
